Too Many Games – FIRST DAY IMPRESSIONS (Stevesesy ED)
WELL, I’m at the hotel right now from my first night up in Phoenixville, PA. I’m staying in one of those hotels where there “No Smoking” signs on the walls and burn marks on my comforter. My room smells of mildew and looks as though we’ve gone back into the 90′s for one last night of wild cocaine-fueled parties, but that is not style.
I’m sitting on the floor eating Sour Patch Kids and drinking a Diet Coke I got from the local Wawa. In between writing this blog entry, I facebook some of the other TGTV writers and read Japanese horror manga. Tomorrow, I wake up, shower, find a Waffle House, and head back to the Too Many Games Convention where I give a panel speech on collecting, buying, and selling games.
I went and scoped it out earlier tonight at around 9PM, I got in later due to the fact that I took 95 North during rush hour and it was awful. I wanted to die so I retreated into my turn-based strategy games while the rest of the car grew more and more tense. We eventually made it and I did a quick scope-out of the convention hall that houses the TMG Con this year.
A few things pop into my head; it is stark. Maybe because I came so late on Friday night, traditionally that night is usually the most scarce. Who knows, but I do have to say, the content is AMAZING. COMPLETELY MIND-BLOWING. JUST, THEY, HAVE, IT, ALL.
THEY HAVE LIKE VERY RARE GAME EVER FOR SALE. Stadium Event, Nintendo World Challenge, N64DD, the list goes on. I am impressed. We snooped around, handed out some business cards. Said hello to some people and then called it a night.
