The Mario Game you’ve Never Heard of: Punch Ball Mario Bros.
What the heck is this? This is Punch Ball Mario Bros. for the PC-8801, PC-6001mkII, NEC PC-6601, FM-7, and Sharp X1. Don’t know what any of those are? They are all just really old, Japanese-exclusive PC’s.
Really, really old.
And as you can see from that video, it played horribly. The controls were jerky and the graphics flickered and it was just plain bad but it was pretty interesting. The punch ball made the game a lot easier as it allowed you to disable enemies coming right at you. It is also interesting that the layouts of the stages are different from the normal Mario Bros. game.
Poorly made.
