Stupidly Rare Atari Game Found: Air Raid
You might be wondering what you just watched. This is a video about finding AIR RAID for the Atari 2600 in a storage locker that has been shut for 20 years. What is so great about this game? It is a holy grail in the video game collecting universe. Before this auction there was only ever confirmed to be one other ever produced. No one knew who made it or where it came from. It was a giant question mark, now we are starting to get a better idea.
So far, this is the only time an instruction manual has been found with the cart and the box, making this a “complete” or “CIB” auction. Allegedly, this game was developed by Men-A-Vision and is there only game, but who was Men-A-Vision? No one seems to know? What happened to the other copies of this game? Were there other copies? This find answers from questions but it also raises so many, many more.
Also, it is currently being auctioned off and is already at around $18,000 at the time of publication of this article. WOW, this one might break the previous copies record-breaking $31,600.
