Google: “Spring cleaning in summer”

Today on their blog, Google announced their plan to do some “spring cleaning in the summer,” which outlines the discontinuation of some of their prior services and how users should adapt to this. The ones getting the axe are the Google Mini enterprise search system, the Google Talk Chatback widget, Google Video, iGoogle and the Symbian search app. A few of these shouldn’t seem like a surprise anyway; Google Video stopped accepting upload content back in 2009, and the Talk Chatback widget will become irrelevant with their acquisition of Meebo. Some of these will be eradicated as soon as the end of this month (Google Mini), while others won’t be gone until near the end of 2013 (iGoogle).
If by chance you still use one of these services, you can read all about the technical details on their official blog. My guess would be that you probably abandoned any one of them long ago, though.
