Arlin Plays Psychonauts- Lungfishopolis
Alright, as I totally flaked and forgot to do a quick writeup for Wednesday’s episode, I’ll combine it with this one. Fortunately, they’re for the same level. Lungfishopolis is a bizarre psyche, yet it doesn’t feel out of place for the game at all. With satisfying gameplay and an impressive amount of humor and you have a level that’s just plain fun. Very fun. That is, if you avoid backtracking.
In other news, this pair of episodes is the first to be recorded on my newly improved desktop. The reconstruction alone is what caused the delay, but it was well worth it. FRAPS runs far smoother with the new setup, and while you can on rare occasions hear the sound repeat much like a record skip, it allows me to record in one shot without fear of the game audio getting out of sync. Plus, the render time is reduced to the point that the render time is actually less than the length of the video… and it’s 720p.
