Arlin Plays Psychonauts, Gloria’s Theater Part 1
Today we do a little exploration of the Asylum Grounds, but very quickly we dive into the mind of Gloria von Gouton, more out of exploration than out of any real need. This level, at first glance, seems considerably smaller than other levels, though admittedly some of this is by contrast with the enormous Milkman Conspiracy. My first impression is that Gloria seems incredibly self-absorbed; her mind is structured around a theater (and therefore her career) in which the plays seem entirely focused on her childhood. Also present is a very abrasive critic which seems rather out of proportion to what one would expect. True we all criticize ourselves to some degree, but Jasper is something else. That said, it has the makings of an intriguing level, as what we’ve seen so far indicates that a number of set changes are possible and could have quite the puzzle built in. We’ll see how long this one takes me, but so far, so good.
